Information for Parents and Students
It is absolutely necessary that an adult accompany their young dancer in the studio lobby and picked up on time by an adult after their class. Teaches cannot be responsible for unattended children. Small children will not be allowed to go to the lobby after class and will stay inside the dance studio until an adult comes to pick them up.
Please notify your teacher in writing before class begins if your dancer will leave with someone other than you. We will not allow young dancers to leave the dance studio until you come inside to pick them up. We ask that a note be given to the dance teacher if someone other than a parent is picking up after class. (If the child has a nickname for this person such as “Nana”, let us know)
Dancewear
All dancers must attend classes in the proper dancewear. All the dancewear and dance shoes you will need this year will be available to try on and order at the dance studio at the Open House and Shoe Sale. You are not required to get your dancewear from us. Your dancer will need pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes. Leotards can be any color, with or without a skirt, light pink or white tights and a dance bag.
Costumes
Teachers will order costumes for students to wear in The Nutcracker, spring ballet and spring ballet.
Performances
We will continue our tradition of the “THE NUTCRACKER” in December. Our spring ballets and spring recital will happen in early May. All performances will be held in The Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts.
Classes
Classes are available for dancers ages 2.5 through adult. Classes are available for levels beginner through advanced.
